Sales Department Associate REPORTS TO:
Team Leader or Sales Manager POSITION INFORMATION:
Provide prompt, dependable, high quality, vehicle sales to customers by using current proactive feature, advantage and benefit sales techniques.
Also follow every step in the Gold Star sales process and customer tracking and follow-up process.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
Motorcycle and Outdoor unit sales Excellent Customer Relations Maintain continual entry and updating to our Traffic Management System (TMS) DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1) Follow every step in the Gold Star sales process including but not limited to full utilization of the TMS System.
2) Complete all sales training as assigned.
3) Attain new and used sales quotas as agreed upon with the sales manager.
4) Use floor time effectively to meet customer needs and solicit sales of all products.
5) Present the features of all products to customers along with their benefits.
6) Show each customer advantages of products over competing brands.
7) Cross sell additional parts, accessories, F&I products, warranties & service contracts etc.
with all new and used vehicles.
8) Assist in maintaining profit margin objective for all vehicle sales.
9) Follow procedures to ensure timely and proper completion of all paperwork.
10) Introduce new customers to the service, parts, general merchandise and F&I departments following the customer path policy and procedure.
11) Enter every customer you greet in the Traffic Management System.
12) Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.
13) Handle telephone transactions quickly, and courteously.
14) Ensure customers are properly qualified for needs, wants, and ability to buy.
15) Practice a feature / benefit selling methodology so that all customers receive consistent treatment when doing business.
16) Follow the Gold Star methodology for vehicle sales, trade-ins and purchases.
17) Conduct a pre-delivery inspection per policy and procedures prior to delivery to a customer.
18) Ensure the delivery to customer a SHOW event which welcomes the customer into the Gold Star family.
19) Contact customers using mailing lists, tickler files, TMS System and personal follow-up to encourage additional sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
20) Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to Make Things Right.
21) Attend training sessions as required to keep current with sales techniques and sales department issues.
